Mark and I have moved a lot in the past 8 1/2 years. Every move has had its own difficulties, but this one is probably the hardest. We’re doing the move ourselves, the boys are old enough to be attached to things and are very concerned about what is happening to their things. Oh yeah, and we have to get rid of nearly everything.
All of this moving prep has made me so thankful that I did not have to wander around in the desert for 40 years. I cannot imagine having to haul all of our belongings with us as we walked. The energy that would require, the frustration of things never being permanent, knowing that you’re waiting for everyone in your parent’s generation to die so that you can start moving toward your purpose…ugh.
In this time of overwhelming stuff to do, I’m trying to focus on the silver lining.
We are moving to a place that we feel called to and genuinely like.
We will live amongst people we love.
We are representatives of the Living God.
We are being sent by a church we love and respect, and being accepted by a church we love and respect.
That said, the next month will be a long one for us. We have a lot to do, and can only do a certain amount at a time. If you think of it, please pray for us.
AND…we have had almost $3500 donated this month, which doubles to nearly $7000!
Let’s keep it up!
